Chapter 01

Overview

A painter or flooring contractor quoting a job needs a quick, clean estimate of areas on site — not a survey and not a CAD file. Sirtuti is a sketching app built for exactly that: ready-made and hand-drawn shapes with their measurements entered directly, area and perimeter per shape plus a total, and export to PNG or a one-page A4 PDF with an area table. Sketches can be gathered into site-visit documents with client details, notes and checklists, exported to Word or PDF. The whole app is one static web page with no build step, wrapped by Tauri for desktop and Android, and works offline as a PWA.

Highlights

  • Ready-made shapes plus point-by-point or freehand drawing with automatic straightening and snapping to other shapes' corners
  • Values always stored in meters, so switching between metric and imperial never changes a sketch
  • Site-visit documents with inline sketches and an automatic area summary, exported to Word or PDF — right-to-left in Hebrew
  • One static web app with no build step, packaged by Tauri 2 as Windows, macOS, Linux and Android builds
  • Optional Google sign-in syncs sketches through Firestore; works offline otherwise
  • Hebrew, English and French UI
